Please join us for our 10th annual Fashion with Compassion event.  At Fashion with Compassion, we invite our 650 guests to enjoy an afternoon of fabulous food, fashion and fun while learning more about how we make a difference in the lives of breast cancer patients and their loved ones. Guests have the opportunity to win prizes and participate in our silent auction, while taking in our lively fashion show featuring the latest trends modeled by alumni of our Recovery Group Program and men impacted by breast cancer.

SCOTIABANK CALGARY MARATHON - Sunday, May 26, 2013

AIRDRIE COMMUNITY CHOIR - ANNUAL SPRING CONCERT SERIES - May 4 & 5, 2013

A huge thank you to the Airdrie Community Choir for donating 15% of their proceeds to Breast Cancer Supportive Care.  We truly appreciate your support. 

 

BRAS FOR A CAUSE "ACROSS A BRIDGE" - October 2012

Virgin Radio 98.5 FM held its 8th annual BRAS FOR A CAUSE with a new spin this year by hanging all the donated bras across the bridge.  The event was held from October 1st to November 2nd benefitting BCSCF. A hugh thank you to Virgin 98.5 broadcasting all day at the bridge and all the work the team did to make this a great success, the City of Calgary for giving us access to the pedistrian bridge on Macleod Trail. Thank you to our major sponsors returned again this year, Qualico Land, Fabutan, and Booster Juice. Community participation was once again outstanding with James Fowler High Schools' Fashion Studies students, Western Financial Group from Strathmore and High River all resulting in a total raised of over $20,000. Virgin Radio also auctioned off a pair of Justin Beiber tickets with the proceeds going to BCSCF.

FASHION WITH COMPASSION - September 22, 2012

BCSCF held another very successful event this year, but certainly not without the help of many volunteers who worked for months tirelessly, as well as, all the models who have completed their Recovery Group Program and their families.  This year's event raised over $135,000 which will be used to continue our mission to help breast cancer patients and their families.

CANYON MEADOWS GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB CARES GOLF TOURNAMENT - 2012

The 3rd Canyon Meadows Cares Golf Tournament was once again a hugh success this year thanks to the Board, Organizing Committee, Sponsors, Donations, golfers, and staff.  $106,000 was raised to continue to support the programs and services provided at BCSCF.

     

Fashion with Compassion 2011

was an afternoon of laughter and joy. The Palomino Room was decorated beautifully, the meal was prepared to perfection and every detail was considered in the raffles, silent auction and grand prize draws. Once again women who have benefitted from BCSCF programs modeled, along with some of our guest male models who have also been impacted through their loved ones, to showcase the great fall fashions from Ducks & Company and Ed Williams Mens Wear.

This was an outstanding year for BCSCF. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped us raise $119,000, which will enhance the programs and services offered at Breast Cancer Supportive Care Foundation and enable us to help more people in our community impacted by breast cancer.

We truly appreciate your support.

Bras for a Cause 2011 

Virgin Radio 98.5 FM held its 7th annual Bras for a Cause Event from October 7th to 28th benefitting BCSCF.  A huge thank you to Sunridge Mall for hosting the event and our paper bras sales.  Our major sponsors for the second year in a row were Qualico Homes and Booster Juice.  Thank you to both of these sponsors for their continued support!  Community particpation was outstanding with James Fowler High School hosting their 3rd Bras for a Cause event, Trail Appliances' power hour and Western Financial Group Strathmore who all helped bring the total rasied at this year's event to over $34,000.  To date Virgin 98.5 FM has raised over $234,000 in support of BCSCF.

Tickled Pink 2011

Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club - July 11,  2011

The 2nd Canyon Meadows Cares Golf Tournament was an amazing day showcasing outstanding donor, sponsor, club and member support.  The organizing committee created a wonderful event for everyone out to enjoy the day.  Over $128,000 was raised to support the programs and services provided at BCSCF.  A special thank you to their amazing organizing committee, Board of Directors, management and staff for such a generous display of community spirit and support. 

Tickled Pink 2010

A special thank you to Joan Gauthier for hosting her Tickled Pink event.  Joan and her friends raised over $6,000.00 to benefit the BCSCF

Bras for a Cause 2010

Virgin 98.5 Radio's Bras for a Cause held October 14 - 29, 2010 at Chinook Centre was another huge success for BCSCF - raising more than $50,000! To date the total raised is approximately $200,000. Thank you to Chinook Centre and City TV and all our sponsors which includes Qualico Homes, Booster Juice, Weight Loss Clinics, Great Clips, SHE Apparrel, Newbury Spa, Fabutan, and Ricky's All Day Grill and all the dedicated volunteers who contributed!  Also a hugh thank you to the following events which contributed to this year's success- James Fowler High School, Western Financial Group in Drumheller, Western Mortgage Services in High River, CSN Wine & Spirits, and the Boob Tour Comedy Show.

Fashion with Compassion 2010

Fashion with Compassion was held Saturday, September 25th, 2010 at the BMO Centre. It was another successful year for us, raising over $120,000! Guests were treated to a lovely luncheon and program emceed by CTV's Vickie Chase and Chad Martin of Astral Media Group.

The fashion show featured fall collections from Ducks & Co. modeled patients of Breast Cancer Supportive Care. Most of the models are graduates of the group support programs provided by BCSCF - the very programs funded by the proceeds of Fashion with Compassion. It was a moving experience to hear firsthand how the support of sponsors, donors and guests have made a difference in the lives of these 15 courageous and inspiring women. In turn, the women had the opportunity to "give back" by sharing their experiences with guests and volunteering their time to model in the show.

Paint the Park Pink 2010

BCSCF and the Calgary Vipers painted the park pink from July 23-25th, 2010.  Thank you to all the volunteers that came out and helped raise funds for Breast Cancer Supportive Care Foundation's programs (BCSCF).

Canyon Meadows Cares Golf Tournament July 12, 2010 

The inaugural Canyon Meadows Cares Golf Tournament was a hugh success raising over $106,000 for BCSCF programs!  A million thanks to the donors and sponsors, the Tournament Committee, the Board of Directors, management and staff, and the entire membership of the Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club for your outstanding support!

Monsignor J.S. Smith School June 2010 

Thank you to Monsignor J.S. Smith School student council and all their students and staff for hosting their Breast Cancer Awareness Event benefitting BCSCF in raising over $6,700.00. Honours go to Scott, Cody, Mr. Lucente, Mr. Nesselbeck, and Mr. Rutledge for participating in the head shave!  Event sponsors were Safeway, Walmart, Vibe 98.5, Panda Flowers and Willow Park Salon & Spa.

Fashion with Compassion 2009

This annual event took place on Saturday September 26th from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Telus Convention Centre in Calgary, Alberta. Approximately 650 guests enjoyed a great luncheon, wonderful fall fashions from the well-known local Calgary retailer Ducks, raffles and a silent auction. As in the past, all our fashion models will be women whose lives have been affected by living with breast cancer.

Last year’s event was an enormous success, raising over $120,000. These funds go directly towards supporting the services of BCSCF.
